It is with a heavy heart that we are selling Andante, a lovely 48ft Cruiser stern. She is a tidy and dependable cruiser, which we have had in London and the Grand Union canal. It is time for Andante to go to a great new home, and for us to have new adventures as well. She would make a perfect home for a couple cruising the canal.
Recent work on Andante includes:
• Upgrading the solar panels, batteries, charger/inverter, many parts of the electrical system
• Welding new gas lockers and various bits of stern equipment
• Painting the topside, blacking the hull
• Remodelling lots of the interior including the kitchen countertops, table and banquette seating, tiling as well as fitting a new composting toilet

Arrangement
At the front of the space, a large banquet-style dining table sits adjacent to the fitted open-plan kitchen. This kitchen and dining area forms a generous social hub, which can also be converted into a guest sleeping space, with the table folding down into a comfortable double bed.
The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner hob, oven, and wooden countertops, providing ample space for cooking and working. An under-counter fridge and washing machine are neatly integrated, alongside a vertical pantry and generous built-in storage throughout.
Behind the kitchen, the washroom is split across the width of the boat, with a toilet and basin on the port side and a separate shower on the starboard side. The shower is spacious, open, and filled with natural light.
Further aft, a long built-in sofa and desk occupy the next compartment, creating an ideal area for reading or working. Flanking the desk are two built-in closets: one serving as a utility cupboard housing the holding tank and cleaning equipment, and the other providing substantial clothing storage.
At the very rear is the main sleeping area, where the bed pulls out to a queen size and features a plush, comfortable mattress. This space feels sheltered and cosy, and when combined with the adjacent sofa and desk area, creates the sense of a generously sized master bedroom.
