*Calm Waters is a 40 ft cruiser stern narrowboat and fitted out by the owner, completed and first registered in 2003.
Can and has been used for holidays or possibly live aboard. This well maintained vessel has the benefit of an all weather stern cover which has plenty of hight making excellent use of the cruiser stern. An apron is fitted around the cruiser stern rail ensuring safety is not compromised when canopy is removed. There has been a Desmo table mounting has been fitted to the engine hatch to allow the small table to be sited to enable boaters to eat alfresco without being subject to the vagaries of the British weather and biting insects.
Perkins 3 cylinder diesel engine, Espacher diesel central heating boiler supplying three radiators plus one in the shower and all basic equipment – in very good working order. Gas double burner in galley area. A nice and simple boat with a light and airy pine clad interior above gunnels, carpeted below gunnels and part of the floor with the floor to the galley and shower area ceramic tiled.
The exterior is painted in a royal and light blue combination to provide an attractively painted exterior. Good live aboard accommodation with a dining area that converts into a double bed and an 8 ft galley. A Panasonic radio CD player with built in speakers is fitted to the lounge area. In the galley area there is a green sink unit with taps set into a base unit that provides under sink storage together with dual voltage fridge. The shower room is accessed by a sliding door and contains a Newteam shower manual mixer, shower tray and curtain, basin set in a vanity unit with Thetford C 200 electric flush cassette toilet (with spare cassette). Forward of the shower room there is a further sitting area complete with a Desmo floor fitting with seating that converts to a single bed. Fitted bank of three batteries, together with a separate starter battery all of which are charged via a 240 supply from a shoreline socket or via an inverter/charger.
