Ex royal navy, glass fibre hull, motor–sailing-rowing whaler.
This whaler has been professionally converted to serve as an exploration and camping vessel for the current owner. With the keel up she draws 20"and is well built to ground on tidal shores and mud banks.
The vessel has been fitted with a full length folding canvas cover and sleeps a family of 2 + 2 children

This ex royal navy whaler 7.9”ft beam with heavy duty strong fiberglass hull was built by C.Toms & Sons of Fowey in 1970.
The vessel is in excellent condition with no delamination or osmosis problems. She is fitted out with a new 20 hp Beta Marine diesel, 90 kg drop keel, main and mizzen mast, forsail, dipping lug main sail, leg o’mutton mizzen. Draught 20".
She was built as a unsinkable tender to HMS Apollo (buoyancy tanks built in to the hull under the internal seating and bow and stern.) Built as MW 7006 she participated in the 1982 Falklands war where her propeller was damaged by Argentinian fire. After return to Davenport she was re-issued to other naval usages.
She swims very nicely with a maximum of 10 knots and is a very sea trialed and worthy boat , perfect for a small family or a couple intent on exploring the inshore coastline, rivers and lakes. Trailer transport can be organised.
Currently motor cruising the Thames from source to tidal London. Normally located Dartmouth. Current lay up in Bristol, Albion Dock Yard
