Shetland Black Prince 23, owned by the current owner since 2011 and maintained with a clear focus on mechanical reliability and system upgrades rather than cosmetic refurbishment.

The engine has been well cared for throughout ownership, with regular servicing fully up to date and recorded. While not stripped, it has been tuned and maintained, with extensive upgrades to peripheral components using reconditioned or genuine Volvo Penta parts. The emphasis here has been on dependable running and long-term usability.

A considerable amount of work has been carried out to onboard systems over time, including a rewire, improved sound insulation, upgraded fuel filtration, and the addition of practical cruising equipment. Enhancements include automatic trim tab stabilisers, battery monitor, inverter, Garmin echo sounder, custom stainless steel work, upgraded lighting and sensible helm ergonomics with comfortable seating.

The boat presents honestly for her age. Windows and cockpit awning are serviceable but original, and a future owner may wish to update these. Antifouling was renewed prior to the most recent season afloat and remains current.
