45ft BUCHANAN CRUISER/RACER - PROJECT
NORYEMA II was built to Lloyds 100A1 for Ron Amey in 1961/62 by Williams King and Sons of Burnham on Crouch. Ron had much success with the boat and got into the Admirals Cup which they went on to win in 1963. HISTORY & DESCRIPTION: Designed by the legendary Alan Pape, this 50ft Cutter Rigged Ketch was built by Frank Curtis & Pape Brothers Ltd in Looe Cornwall under Lloyds survey and was originally commissioned in 1975 as SUMMER WIND for John Radford of Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire. ONDINE was designed by Frederick Parker and built by Woodnutts, Isle of Wight in 1960 for D A Kelsey of London. She was initially stationed at Poole and later at Hamble.
