The Hunter Duette is the twin keel version of the popular Hunter Sonata cruiser/racer, designed by David Thomas and built by British Hunter Boats.
The Duette has an excellent reputation for stability and ease of handling with good performance. The twin keels bring the convenience of being able to dry out, but she still sails to windward very well.
The cabin is spacious for her size, with a galley and loo and plenty of stowage, she is perfect for weekend or longer coastal cruising.
Hull number 012.

1. Stability:
" From the moment you step aboard, she feels stable and reassuring "Practical Boat Owner.
"She possesses an exceptionally high ballast ratio" Yachting World.
" The inherent stability is immediately apparent" Boats Magazine.
2. Engine well system:
"superb manoeverability in either ahead or astern" Practical Boat Owner.
"Handling under power both ahead and astern was simplicity itself" Yachting World.
3. Twin keels that really perform:
"Under sail she feels rock like yet positive and sufficiently responsive to accelerate in the lightest of puffs" Practical Boat Owner.
"Bilge Keel yachts are often criticised for not being as sharp as their fin keeled sisters when working to windward. This criticism cannot be levelled at the Duette" Yachting World.
"Her performance has enough edge, to astonish the fin keeled opposition" Boats Magazine.
4. Safe and satisfying handling qualities.
"A satisfying boat to sail - forgiving rather than flighty but undeniably fun." Practical Boat Owner.
"The yacht is well balanced on all points". Yachting World.
"The directional stability is truly excellent" Boats Magazine.
